Select Fine Foods was created in 2009, although a new company we have over 80 years of foodservice expertise between four partners. Our objective is to purvey quality Canadian products from farmers who are looking at having their product complemented by the fine craft of expert butchery that respects the work and cost that has gone into producing premium animals. We add nothing but craftsmanship and tradition just like our farmer partners. All product sourced is free of antibiotics and growth hormones.

Meet Guenter Gruener, a European trained master butcher and former president and co-founder of JKW Select Veal Limited who has been applying his craft since 1960. In 2005, Delft Blue acquired JKW Select Veal Limited. However, because of his excellent knowledge, expertise and loyalty, Guenter has earned a reputation among many top restaurants and processors in the Food Service Industry and has continued to supply products of the highest quality to a select group of clients in Ontario. In 2007, Guenter joined forces with former employees of JKW Select Veal, Angleo Gomez and Andy Dutkiewicz to launch Royal Crown Meats. In 2008 Don Kerstens joined them and Select Fine Foods was conceived.
